Standard Terms and Conditions of Service (TACS) for Sikar Marathon 2024
1. Event Registration:
- Choose your event category carefully. Confirmed registrations are nonrefundable, non-transferable, and cannot be modified.
- Provide a secure email ID and mobile number for regular updates. These communications should not be treated as spam, and no action should be taken against our bulk SMS service provider.
- Any notice sent to the email address registered with the organizers shall be deemed received by the participants.
2. Acknowledgment of Risks:
- You acknowledge that long-distance running is an extreme sport and can be injurious to the body and health. You take full responsibility for participating in Sikar Marathon 2024 and release Sikar Infotech, Dedicated Runners Group Sikar, the organizing committees, and their members from any liability for injury or accident.
3. Personal Information:
- You agree that your personal information can be stored and used by the organizers for event organization, promotion, administration and statistical purposes.
4. Event Modification or Cancellation:
- In the event of adverse weather conditions, major incidents, threats, or force majeure restrictions, the organizers reserve the right to stop, cancel, or postpone the event.
- Confirmed registrations and merchandise orders are non-refundable and non-transferable. The organizers reserve the right to reject any application without providing reasons. Only rejected application fees will be refunded in full (excluding bank charges).
5. Health Advisory:
- Participants are advised to eat a healthy meal and avoid alcohol the night before to prevent dehydration.
6. Behavioural Conduct:
- Participants should not cause distress or harm to others, including participants, organizers, staff and service providers. The organizers reserve the right to remove anyone violating this rule and, if necessary, hand them over to authorities, with financial liability falling on the participant.
7. Early Termination of Participation:
- If a participant wishes to end their run prematurely or is unable to participate due to fitness issues, no return support or refund will be provided. The participant will bear any financial liability for alternate arrangements.
8. Medical Responsibility:
- Participants must follow organizer instructions and bear all expenses arising from medical emergencies or conditions.
9. Injury and First Aid:
- Minor injuries like cuts and bruises are common. First aid kits are provided and coordinators are trained to respond. Organizers take reasonable steps to ensure safety.
10.Itinerary Changes:
- Organizers may change the itinerary or cancel the event due to unexpected weather or other situations beyond control. Organizers are not liable for travel or accommodation costs incurred by participants.
11.Medical Disclosure:
- Disclose any personal medical conditions beforehand. Organizers are not responsible for undisclosed medical issues.
12.Prohibited Activities:
- Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited.
13.Liability Waiver:
- The organizers are not liable for any loss, damage, illness or injury resulting from event participation. They are also not responsible for damage to personal belongings or vehicles.
14.Parking Restrictions:
- No parking will available inside the event venue. Parking is at the participant’s own risk.
15.Rule Violations:
- Participants violating rules will be removed without a refund.
16.E-Certificates:
- E-certificates will be provided to participants who complete the course within the cut-off timings and cross all the scanners provided at running route.
17.Finisher Medals:
- Medals will be awarded to participants who complete the course.
18.Baggage Policy:
- Participants are advised to come without baggage and avoid leaving valuables in stored bags. Organizers are not responsible for loss of baggage or belongings.
19.Timing Bib Tag:
- Participants must not interchange their timing bib tag with others. Doing so will result in disqualification from the event and future events.
- Participants must wear the timing bib tag as instructed to receive an official finish time, medal, and e-certificate.
20.Bib Requirement:
- Participants must wear the bib (chest number) at all times during the race. Without wearing bib entry will not be permitted at venue.
21.Minor Participants:
- If registering on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the parent/guardian and consent to their participation. All rules apply to minors as if they were adults.
22.Bib Collection:
- Participants must collect their running bibs in person. Bibs can be collected by a representative with written consent from the registered participant and by showing their original ID Cards(Aadhar Card/ Driving Lisence)
23.Prizes:
- Final results of overall winners will be declared by our online race timing management partner.
- Entitlement to finish positions and prize money winnings are also subject to bib tag timing captured across all timing points on the course, including at the start and finish mats and physical verification by technical officials and/or anti-cheat cameras.
- Runners found to have interchanged their running bib number and/or bib tag with others, will be disqualified from the competition. Such runners shall not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable).
- Prize winners declared may be required to submit further proof of identity/age, as may be required by the Event Promoter, for disbursement of prize money, failing which the Event Promoter may, at its sole discretion, withhold disbursement or disqualify the said participant from competition.
- Result of race timing management partner, decision of our technical officials and event promoter will be final for winners.
